Hyundai Xcent compact sedan launched for Rs.4.66 lakh in India
The Xcent compact sedan was first unveiled at the Auto Expo 2014 that held in February. It is aimed at taking on Maruti Dzire and Honda Amaze. The Xcent comes with the automatic gearbox options in petrol variants.
Hyundai India has launched its Xcent compact sedan at a price of Rs.4.66 lakh for the base petrol model. Launched in both petrol and diesel variants, the Xcent sedan starts at Rs.4.66 lakh and goes up to Rs.7.38 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Among its notable features are key-less push button start, auto-folding mirrors and rear parking camera. Its design is based on one of the most successful cars, the Grand i10.
With this new Xcent at an impressive price, Hyundai India aims get its share of the ever growing compact sedan market in India.
The Hyundai Xcent in India will come with a choice of petrol and diesel engines. The petrol is a 83PS engine which will come mated to a 5-speed manual and 4-speed auto transmissions. The diesel is a newly developed 1.1-litre U2 CRDI engine which makes 70PS. Hyundai may also plonk in the 90PS 1.4-litre diesel motor from the i20 into the Xcent. The diesel will be available only with a manual gearbox.
